Ben Brownlee Memorial Fund

As you may or may not know, Ben Brownlee disappeared while hiking in the San Juan Mountains, Colorado in October 2020. After several days of tirelessly searching for him, his body was found. My heart goes out to his family, his girlfriend, his friends, and his Jesuit family.
During the Search and Rescue efforts it became clear to Ben's family that the Hinsdale County SAR team were lacking basic tools that would have made finding Ben much easier and quicker.
His family has set up this memorial fund in the hopes that lives will be saved. Please click on the link to learn more. And PLEASE donate if you can!
"The need is vast but contributions of any size are extremely valuable as $60 purchases an avalanche probe that could save someone’s life. High-altitude drones with FLIR capabilities are a reach item with a $200,000 retail price but would be able to quickly search rocky, steep terrain that would take hours on foot when every minute counts. We are working closely with Hinsdale County Search & Rescue leaders to identify & prioritize their needs. Some items could be shared with other SAR teams in the region."
