Hinsdale County Variance Request Approved

On Saturday afternoon, May 23, Hinsdale County received notification about the variance request from the state’s Safer at Home order. The variance was approved with extra guidance for restaurants and places of worship.

Approval Decision Letter

This variance is granted based on the facts and circumstances described in the request. If Hinsdale County were to have two epidemiologically unlinked cases or more than two linked cases, the variance is automatically rescinded. Additionally, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment reserves the right to modify or rescind this variance approval as circumstances warrant. This approval is in effect until the final expiration of the state’s Safer at Home orders, which will be extended in some capacity beyond the current expiration date next week.

Currently Colorado is under Safer at Home public health orders. Under these orders Coloradans are no longer ordered to stay home, but are strongly advised to stay at home.
